  • CCDZ to hold roadshows on the new constitution in Masvingo
    Centre for Community Development in Zimbabwe (CCDZ)

    The Centre for Community Development In Zimbabwe (CCDZ) is scheduled to hold roadshows on the new constitution in urban and rural Masvingo from the 15th-26th March 2010. The shows will be held at the following centres:

    • Gutu Mpandawana Growth Point
    • Nemamwa Growth Point
    • Bikita Growth Point
    • Zaka/Jerera Growth Point
    • Masvingo Urban

    The roadshows are held in series in 6 provinces of Zimbabwe to sensitize the public on the tenets of a democratic Constitution. During the roadshows CCDZ also distributes civic education material (leaflets, posters, brochures) emphasizing various themes of the new Constitution such as the Separation of Powers, Limited terms, Systems of Government, Comprehensive and Justiceable Declaration of Rights, Independent Commissions and Devolution of power.

    The roadshows are implemented in collaboration with Community Based Organizations and resident associations in the 6 provinces of Mashonaland (East, West, and Central), Masvingo, Manicaland and Midlands.
