This document was
prepared by the International Commission of Jurists to address the situation
of human rights in Zimbabwe at the 61st Session of the United
Nations Commission on Human Rights. It contains excerpts from the report
of the fact-finding mission to Zimbabwe of the African Commission on Human
and Peoples' Rights, special procedures of the UN Commission on Human
Rights, United Nations press releases explicitly referring to the human
rights situation in Zimbabwe published between 2000 and 2005 and a chart
on the reporting status of Zimbabwe to the human rights treaty bodies.
