Redcliff deputy mayor dies

The MDC has learnt with sorrow and sadness, of the death of Winnie Ncube, the Deputy Mayor for Redcliff and an MDC Midlands North provincial committee member.

She was 47.

Councillor Ncube died early this morning after she collapsed at her home in Rutendo, Redcliff. She was elected councillor for Ward 5 in 2008.

She is survived by a husband, Jackboy Njiko and three children, Letwin, Yena and Leon.

Mourners are gathered at No. 5, Boterekwa Street, Rutendo and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.

The MDC extends its condolences to the Ncube family, relatives, friends and the Redcliff community.
