Hwange crisis update
Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force (ZCTF)
April 01, 2006

Following our recent report regarding the delivery to Hwange of the consignment of landrover spares donated by the Hwange Conservation Society (UK), we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Nicholas Duncan and the Save Foundation of Australia for coming forward with the money to pay the customs duty on the spare parts.

We are now able to replace the ZCTF funds we had set aside to pay the duty. This has helped us enormously because we are currently collecting a truck load of donated tyres from South Africa and we will now be in a position to pay the duty on those when they come across the border.

Johnny Rodrigues
Chairman for Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force
